The Russellville Country Club Men's Golf Association invites you to participate in our annual Gardner-Goodwin 4-Ball.

FROM THE COURSE....

Summer arrived early this year and weather wise, much like last June, but the greens are in good shape.

The USGA Grommets will be here July 26th at 1:30 for a site visit of the golf course. Members are welcome to attend this site visit or you may contact your Board members for any questions or concerns you have if you cannot be in attendance.

I would personally like to "Thank", MGA and RWGA for purchasing the fertilizer for the course this year.

We are asking that you stay on path on all par three and around tees and greens. Also, please remember to fix ball marks, and retrieve broken tees as both are helpful in maintaining our course.

Golfing News from the Course

CONGRATULATIONS! CONGRATULATIONS! Stan Satz had a Hole in One! Hit from the Gold tees with a 7 Iron on May 27th and witnesses were present. WAY TO GO! Sunday June 5th Wanda White had a Hole in One! Hit from the Red tees with a 9 Iron. Witnesses were Tim White and Jerry Nill. Congratulations to both golfers.

House Committee

The House Committee continues to raise money for our two projects this year. The carpet is to be replaced in the dining room, bar, and ballroom. A kegorator is to be purchased and placed in the bar so that we may serve draft beer.

We kicked the season off with our annual Margarussellville party but more is planned for the year.

We had the Holes for the House golf tournament on June 11th and had 48 persons participating. Talk has it that we may have another fall tournament for the House - will keep you posted.

Coming in October we are having another inside garage sale on Friday the 7th and a Las Vegas party with the Knights of Columbus on Saturday, October 29th.

Our annual Wine Tasting Dinner is set for Friday November 18.

Specifics such as times, place, and costs, will be announced in our newsletter monthly editions.

We appreciate our members and hopefully we will be able to reach our goals this year. Thanks for your support!

House Committee

HOLLOW BEND PHOTOS ON DISPLAY AT CLUB......

The State Parks Department will bring photographs of the Hollow Bend Wildlife Refuge to display at the club from July 11th thru July 17th.

The display is traveling the state and will be on display through the end of the year. There is no charge for the service and they will place them in the lobby and return to take them down.

FUNDRAISER OCTOBER 7TH-BALLROOM INDOOR YARD SALE

We are asking for your items that need to be discarded, cluttering your attic or retired. We will accept household items, furniture, and all other treasures. Please, bring them to the club and we will store until sale date. No Clothing. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
